PARISH PRIEST
Fr Michael Musyoka Kyumu Fr Michael joined our community in September 2018. He was born in Kenya in 1967. Educated in Kenya. Ordained to the priesthood to the Diocese of Ngong, Kenya in January 1997. He has a degree in Sacred Scripture from Ubaniana University in Italy and a Masters in Health and International Development from Flinders University. He has worked in 5 parishes in Kenya (4 as parish Priest) and in the Adelaide Archdiocese since 2007. From 2011 - 2018 he was the parish priest of Blackwood. His present appointment also includes being Parish Priest of the Brighton parish. |
ASSISTANT PRIEST
Fr Prathap Katta Fr Katta joined our community in February 2021. Prathap was born in India in 1982. Educated in India. Joined the SDM Seminary (The Society of St. Eugene De Mazenod) in 1999 and was Ordained to the priesthood in November 2011. Prathap arrived in Australia 2 ½ years ago, and has worked in both the Cathedral & Noarlunga Parishes. His present appointment also includes being Assistant Priest of the Brighton Parish. |
DEACON (Currently on assignment to LeFevre Parish)
Rev Tim Grauel Rev Tim and his wife, Carrie, moved to Hallett Cove and became part of our community in December 2004. Tim was born in Dover, Delaware in 1959. He completed his undergraduate degree in Los Angeles, California, where he met Carrie (born in Hastings, Victoria). They married in 1984 and have two children, Hannah (32 yrs) and Dennis (29 yrs), who live in Melbourne. Tim has graduate degrees in Counselling and in Theology. For many years he served as a church pastor in Queensland (Uniting Church, Brisbane). In March 2006, he was received into the Catholic Church. Tim was ordained to the diaconate in December 2015. He has held senior management roles in aged care (NGO) and disability (State Government) and currently works full-time in the Archbishop’s Office. Tim supports the parish by celebrating baptisms, weddings, funerals, and offering a Scripture reflection group. He is completing studies in spiritual direction and in professional supervision. |
PARISH SECRETARY
Pat McKenna The Parish Secretary is your first contact with the parish, in the parish office, over the phone or by email. She provides administrative support for the Parish, including weekend bulletins, community newsletters, funeral booklets and weekly email updates. She is also responsible for keeping all the records up to date for the parish including minutes of meetings, sacrament records (Baptisms, Confirmations, Weddings and Funerals), along with Parishioner contact details. This is a part-time role held by Pat McKenna who started working for the Parish in 2005. Pat works Tuesdays & Fridays: 9:00am - 2:00pm |
PARISH PASTORAL COUNCIL
Meet once a month, currently the 1st Tuesday of each month, to discern the pastoral needs of our parish. If you care about our community and its people, then consider joining the parish council. There is 2 year term commitment with options to extend.

PARISH FINANCE COUNCIL
Looks after and monitors the financial position of the parish. The council prepare a budget for each year and approve any major purchases. They also prepare a strategic plan for the future of our parish. The council meet every 2 months, currently on the 4th Tuesday of even months.
